Who we are, and how we make money

The short story

Subscription Solar is run by a Houston-based team that sells and originates subscription solar agreements across Florida and Texas. We built this site because the category is new, the search results are full of lead farms, and nobody was explaining the actual contract mechanics — the 36-month commitment inside the 10-year agreement, the escalator, what happens at a home sale — in plain language.

How we're paid, exactly

When you request an estimate, our sales team or a partner team we work with follows up with exact numbers for your roof. If you sign, the solar provider compensates us. That's the whole model. We don't sell your information to third-party call centers, and one team follows up, not five.

Why the honesty angle isn't a gimmick

Subscription solar has a 36-month cancel right. A client who signs on hype can walk at month 36, and the economics of this business only work when clients stay because the thing does what we said it would do. That makes honest explanation a business model, not a virtue. It's why every page here states the escalator before you ask, and why the quote flow will tell you when the answer is "don't."

What this site will and won't do

• It will show you what your roof can do, estimate your savings with the assumptions visible, and explain every contract mechanic we know about.
• It will tell you when ownership beats a subscription for your situation.
• It won't promise savings beyond a visible-assumptions estimate, hide the escalator, or call a 10-year agreement a three-year contract.
• It won't pressure you. The numbers either work or they don't.
